I’m the type of person that is either obsessed with something or down right hates it! I go through weird phases where I’ll only eat one type of food for weeks straight and then I’ll suddenly hate everything about it. While my husband was deployed I was obsessed with fish sticks sandwiches and frozen waffles covered in peanut butter. Now, you better not even think about putting either one of them in front of me.
Lately, I’ve developed a new obsession and I’m not sure how to feel about it.
My sister, A, is also obsessive and is constantly getting me hooked onto things! About a month ago she kept harassing me about joining a new app called Covet. She said it was some sort of dressing up dolls game and that I would love it. I’m very hesitant about dipping my toe into anything new and kept telling her to kick rocks for about 3 weeks. Her persistence wore me down, as it often does, and I decided to download the game reluctantly. I had NO IDEA how to play for the first hour and felt it creeping towards my “hate list”. I put the game down and decided to try again the next day.
I woke up and my phone had notifications from the app stating that I had messages. I love getting messages, I don’t care in what form, from who, I just love it. I scrambled to open the app to see that I WON for creating a SLAMMING outfit on my doll. In order to win on Covet you enter an outfit based on a scenario and covet users then vote on how much they like your outfit. In order to win the prize, of new clothing, you must achieve an average rating of 4 stars. I’m not a fashion guru at all and majority of the time I’m rocking sweat pants so winning 4 stars felt like a pat on my back. I was hooked.
I’m now two weeks into the game and it is HANDS DOWN one of the most fun games I’ve played in awhile. If you’re into fashion, role playing, or learning how to dress yourself better, than this is the game for you. The game never gets old and you actually dress your dolls up with the latest fashion from all the top designers. You can even buy the outfits you created and at times you get special discounts with these top designers.
